Mother's Day gifts

Working at Anthropologie gives me tons of opportunities to find gifts for people. Since Mother's Day is coming up... I thought I'd throw out some suggestions! All of these gifts are under $40 and are some of my personal favorites. Enjoy!

1. What is one word that can best be used to describe you?
i kinda hate this question...not sure why though. I'd say: loyal


2. If you could have a dream come true, would what it be?
To live a happy, adventurous, God-directed life. 


3. What would you do with a billion dollars?
Pay off my family's debt, pay off any debt of my own, buy a peemp (by peemp i mean our realistic dream) home


4. What helps to pull you out of a bad mood?
...Starbucks/my sister/danny... a combination of things really


5. What is your bedtime routine?
change into sleep clothes, brush the teeth, snuggle, pray and knock out


6. What activities did you do in High School? If you could go back, would you do the same or something different?
I played soccer for one year, joined the color guard and later became co-captain, and dance. I would have had the guts to try out for soccer again and not join the color guard...


7. Name some books you have read?
Memoirs of a Geisha, The Devil in Pew Number 7, Creative Inc. 


8. How do you see yourself in 10 years?
No idea...Its difficult to say. I know I'll be happy though. 


9. What's your favorite piece of clothing you own?
as of late: my Pugs Not Drugs tee


10. What kind of skin care do you use?
neutrogena cleanser, and spf moisturizer


11. What's the first thing you do when you wake up?
shut off my alarm. 


12. If you could have any job, regardless of income, what would it be?
I'd have my own shop.


13. If you could pick a new name for yourself, what would it be?
i like my name. 


14. If you had to choose between six months of sun or six months or rain, which would you choose?
Sun. The sun is pretty hot here...but the rain def sucks when you have errands to run... so SUN it is


15. If you could only eat one thing for the next six months, what would it be?
Split pea soup.


16. What is the thing you enjoy about blogging the most?
sharing photos or new ideas


17. Do you prefer salty or sweet foods?
SALTY! (though a good brownie could change my mind every now and then)

Mustache wallet, HTC Evo cell, Birth Control pills, Burts Bees honeysuckle lip balm, tissues

1. I got a job at Anthropologie!
2. Juries went awesome. Always room for improvement though ;)
3. My Mom and cousins are in Panama this week (jealous..)
4. Danny and I got an iPad.
5. Easter Sunday was awesome! We have a great God!
6. I've got pink eye. Ugh. Hoping I didn't pass it on to anyone.
7. Spending most of the weekend with my sister was the best!

How are you doing?

This is my last week of school...Tomorrow is my juries [examination]. I'm excited about it...and I'm kinda nervous too. Not sure why, but its ok. Only good can come of it. I tried my best and that's what I got. Wish me luck.  xoxo

Owl love you forever

I must say...I'm in a delightful mood. This semester is quickly coming to a close! I have one more project to work on due Thursday. I aced my History of Graphic Design quiz (couldn't have done without the Hubs. He quizzed me all night and made sure I didn't skip any details of my review sheet) and gave my presentation this morning! So now-Packaging class is my total focus. woot!

today

I've got two classes to go, for the semester to be over. Today was long. I had two 5 hour critiques...and I'm not exaggerating on the 5 hours. ::pfft:: Both my projects were received well, which is nice.
I was concerned about my screen prints because, up until this point I don't feel I've made a successful print...and today I could confidently say I made 1. That 1 piece gave me hope and confidence in my direction for future prints. woo!
My Paula Scher map/catalog critique was [as i mentioned] great also...I had a minor set back with the orientation of some of the spreads, but it is what it is...and I'm ok with it.
Now-I'm off to study for my History of Graphic Design quiz and prepare for a presentation I have to give!

I'm working late tonight. I'm surprised on how I'm making good time. Really surprised. lol I have two assignments due tomorrow. Several screen prints and a 20 page catalog on Paula Scher. I procrastinated a bit (i invented procrastination.) I finished the prints at school and I've been on this catalog since 8pm (current time: 1:01 am) The semester will be over in a week. I'm so excited- even though this means my week will be hectic for sure. It will be ok. I've gotten so much encouragement over the weekend through my friends and family and I'm not sure they're aware of it..so thank you. Let's just say...I have high hopes for the future... :)

my Mom's house

 My Mother has sooo many different kinds of plants..she's a green thumb. You can especially see all of them now (being Spring and all) with all the different colors sprouting in her yard/garden.

I took a few (very few) shots of some of her beauties...here ya go! I'll be sure to photograph more soon!

I went to the beach last Saturday for my little sister's birthday and it was awesome! Now it seems that hitting the beach is all I want to do and the Anthropologie catalog that I just received in the mail isn't helping.

Today has been a rainy day so far...and I'm not gonna lie...I don't hate it. Things slow down a bit-and sometimes that's exactly what I need. How is your Friday?
